Julia Roberson Joins The Conservation Fund as Vice President of Marketing and Communications

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Conservation Fund (TCF), a leading nonprofit in U.S. land and water protection, is pleased to welcome Julia Roberson as its new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. By helping grow TCF’s capabilities to tell its unique story and reach new audiences, Roberson will play a key role in positioning the organization to meet the nation’s growing need for innovative conservation solutions.

“Conservation has never been a bigger issue — in terms of scale and complexity — than it is today,” said Larry Selzer, The Conservation Fund’s president and CEO. “TCF has an unmatched track record tackling America’s most complex conservation challenges, and effectively communicating about what we have done and can do is vital for meeting the growing challenges to come. We’re excited to have a communicator of Julia’s caliber on board as we build on our work protecting nature, advancing climate solutions and driving economic opportunity.”

Roberson has extensive experience directing communications and strategy for environmental organizations. Before joining TCF, she was a senior executive with Ocean Conservancy and helped secure partnerships with Superbowl 54, and YouTubers Mark Rober and MrBeast as part of their #TeamSeas campaign. During her time at Ocean Conservancy, Roberson provided strategic direction for the organization’s communications, digital and marketing functions, expanded visibility for key programs and spearheaded thought leadership for the CEO. She previously held positions at The Pew Charitable Trusts and the London-based nonprofit SeaWeb.

“I’m thrilled to be joining The Conservation Fund at such a pivotal time for the organization, the country and the environment,” Roberson said. “TCF is a truly impressive organization that brings decades of wins for nature and communities, including in my hometown of Waynesville, North Carolina. I’m looking forward to working with our exceptional staff across the country to enhance public awareness of the solutions TCF can deliver for all.”
