Love is Love Cooperative Farm is a certified organic vegetable, fruit and flower partnership between five talented and business-savvy farmers who collectively carry more than 50 years of farming experience and share a vision of creating a fiscally sound and environmentally sustainable farm business.

The team will meet key financial benchmarks and infrastructure investments identified in a five-year business plan — putting them in a position to purchase the farm from The Conservation Fund at the end of that period. On behalf of the farmers, TFC invested in 68.7 acres of prime farmland, including 20 acres of natural habitat that support native plant and animal biodiversity. A portion of the farm has been farmed continuously by the same family for seven generations since 1784. Located adjacent to Newton County’s expanding Cricket Frog Rail-Trail, this farm is strategically located close to Atlanta markets and has a strong potential for agritourism.

Using a “buy-protect-sell” model, the Farms Fund is making the farmland affordable for Love is Love Cooperative Farm while providing the farmers a patient pathway to farm ownership.

Farmer Vision

Love is Love Farm is a certified organic producer and plans to grow healthy food at scale while setting strong goals for its employment standards, including livable wages, benefits and healthcare. As part of its commitment to sustainability, the farm aims to become carbon negative by 2030. It will be positioned to work directly with Emory University to help meet Emory’s ambitious goals for local, sustainable sourcing.
