Urban Conservation Manager, Conservation Acquisition
Shannon’s current focus is the construction of the Lindsay Street Park, an important demonstration project for The Conservation Fund’s new Parks With Purpose program. She works with local residents and community members to ensure that Triple Bottom Line benefits are incorporated into the project to provide positive environmental, economic, and social outcomes for this underserved community. She also lends support to the Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee real estate team members, including GIS mapping, project budgeting, donor development, and IT support.
Previous to her environment work, Shannon was owner and manager of a successful business for nearly 20 years before deciding to change careers and explore her passion for the environment.
Shannon holds a B.A. in Geography from Georgia State University, with an emphasis on geographical information science and environmental conservation. She has been with The Conservation Fund since 2010.
