Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Michael DiBerardinis, Philadelphia Eagles owner Christina Lurie were joined by fans to cut the ribbon on the Eagles Forest, a 6.5-acre site at Neshaminy State Park in Bensalem, Bucks County. The Eagles Forest will help offset the team’s carbon footprint, restore wildlife habitat and enhance public recreation areas.

 

With the purchase of the Silver Lake longleaf pine forest in Georgia, The Conservation Fund reached a significant milestone: the protection of 6 million acres across the country since its founding in 1985. The Silver Lake project illustrates the Fund’s ability to work with diverse interests and leverage the power of partnerships.
