The Conservation Fund and its partners have protected nearly 5,500 acres valued at over $1.3 million dollars in Iowa. A top priority for the Fund is working with partners to conserve wildlife habitat, water quality and recreation areas along the Mississippi River and its tributaries.
Peg Kohring, director of the Fund's work in the Midwest, is based in Michigan. She works with community leaders across the region. "We’re the tools in the hands of communities, helping to make conservation happen.”
