Dr. Christopher Good is the Director of Research at the Freshwater Institute. Dr. Good is a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian with the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association, and is board certified with the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. He has a broad research background in aquatic animal epidemiology, microbiology, fish disease diagnostics, water quality management, and recirculating aquaculture systems. His recent research has focused on optimizing environmental conditions for raising Atlantic salmon in freshwater land-based closed containment operations from hatch up to harvest size. Dr. Good has authored or co-authored 44 publications in peer-reviewed journals and two book chapters.

Chris earned his Ph.D., D.V.M. and M.Sc. from the Ontario Veterinary College and previously earned his B.Sc. from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
