Buck Vaughan
Director, forestry

Buck joined The Conservation Fund in 2005 as manager of the Palmetto-Peartree Preserve, a 12,000 acre red-cockaded woodpecker mitigation bank in eastern North Carolina. Buck studied operations research in graduate school and is adept in emerging forestry issues including carbon species and wetland mitigation and other ecosystem services.
Buck is a registered forester in North Carolina and a member of the Society of American Foresters. Buck received a B.S. in Forest Management and a Master of Forestry from North Carolina State University.
