Efforts to Acquire and Protect Atlanta's Former Chattahoochee Brick Company Site Under Way

A statement from The Conservation Fund

Atlanta — Efforts to acquire and conserve the former Chattahoochee Brick Company site are currently in the works, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced today.

The City of Atlanta’s partnership with The Conservation Fund on this acquisition will be a critical first step in protecting the historic site. Over the last 15 years, The Conservation Fund has worked with the City to protect over 750 acres for public greenspace within the metro area. The Fund’s expertise in complex real estate transactions makes us well equipped to facilitate this deal with both Lincoln Terminal Company and the City of Atlanta to find a solution that is mutually beneficial for all parties—something few thought possible. We look forward to sharing more about this effort at a future date.
