Nissa Erickson

Individual Giving Officer, Western Region

Nissa Erickson is the Individual Giving Officer for the Western Region at The Conservation Fund, where she manages a portfolio of donors and builds lasting relationships to support conservation efforts across the western United States. She works closely with individuals to connect their philanthropic interests with the Fund’s mission, sharing updates on key projects and shaping impactful giving opportunities.

Nissa’s background spans public policy, energy efficiency, and nonprofit development. She led fundraising efforts for community-based organizations, guided federal climate funding initiatives, and crafted narratives that inspired action. Her past roles include leadership at the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, the Family & Intercultural Resource Center, and the Summit Community Care Clinic, as well as serving as the Senior District Representative for U.S. Congressman Jared Polis, where she advanced public lands conservation.

She holds an MBA from the University of Denver and degrees in Political Science and Sociology from St. Olaf College. Outside of work, Nissa enjoys skiing, hiking, and exploring the mountains with her dog, Pickles.
