Charles R. Cherington

Mr. Cherington is Managing Partner and Co-founder of Ara Partners, a private equity firm focused on decarbonizing the industrial economy. Mr. Cherington has over 25 years of private equity experience, has founded ten private equity firms, and made investments in over sixty companies over his career. Charles’ ten most recent investments have all targeted carbon reduction in the industrial and chemical industries. Charles is the largest private owner of conservation land in the State of Vermont. Mr. Cherington is married with three sons and lives in Belmont, Massachusetts.
