Nick Jacobson

Colorado and Southwest Field Representative

Based in western Colorado, Nick works on land and water conservation projects across Colorado and the Southwest. He focuses on protecting the region’s defining features: the river corridors, working lands, critical habitat, and open spaces that anchor communities.

Before joining The Conservation Fund, Nick was a Conservation Manager with Colorado West Land Trust, where he helped protect over 20,000 acres of peach orchards, cattle ranches, and pinto bean farms in western Colorado.

Nick holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Geography from Macalester College and has completed environmental work and research across the West, South America, and southern Africa. A product of rural Iowa with roots in the desert Southwest, he is happiest in the West’s vast public lands. He spends his free time backcountry skiing, building and pedaling singletrack, or standing in a river pretending to be patient.
