Ciara Johnson

GIS Analyst

Ciara joined The Conservation Fund as a Charles Jordan Memorial Intern in fall 2023 and became a GIS Analyst in 2024. She creates and manages geospatial data and associated web applications, supports training and technical assistance to GIS users and staff, and provides mapping services across the organization.

Prior to joining the Fund, Ciara worked as a graduate fellow for the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Climate Adaptation Science Center where she assisted with research on the effects of climate change on wildlife and ecosystems. Ciara has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from George Mason University, where she studied changing patterns of fall migration of neotropical songbirds.

In her free time, Ciara enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, birdwatching, and painting.
