Amanda Byrum

North Carolina, Senior Field Representative

Amanda joined The Conservation Fund in January 2025. Her role as a Senior Field Representative is to manage real estate projects with partners across North Carolina.

Most recently, she served as the Land Conservation Director for Catawba Lands Conservancy and Carolina Thread Trail, a land trust and trail network operating in fifteen counties in North and South Carolina. Amanda has over ten years of experience in real estate, policy, and strategic planning in the public and nonprofit sectors, through her work with the land trust and in local government. She is a licensed real estate broker with a BA in English, juris doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, and a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in sustainability.

A native North Carolinian, Amanda appreciates the opportunity to support land conservation in the state. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, reading, exercising, hiking, and cooking and baking.
