Geoffrey Cripe

Geoffrey is The Conservation Fund’s Great Lakes Senior Field Rep working in the Great Lakes states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Geoffrey accelerates land protection in a vulnerable region for land development, fragmentation and habitat conversion threats through co-ops and land use partnerships.

Prior to joining The Conservation Fund, Geoffrey worked with Ducks Unlimited and Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy directing land protection and in Virginia as an urban planner. He earned a degree in public management from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs and reluctantly left Bloomington to begin his career. Geoffrey founded the Friends of Watkins Lake State Park for which he actively volunteers and resides in the Irish Hills of southern Michigan with his wife Sarah, two sons Lyndon and Loui and their whippet Oskar. He is a rabid IU basketball lover, enjoys exploring natural areas, botanizing, bicycling and playing or listening to music with his kids.
