Stacy Salvevold

Minnesota Senior Field Representative

Stacy is the Minnesota Senior Field Representative for The Conservation Fund. Her work focuses on land protection and innovative conservation solutions that serve wildlife, people and the planet. Stacy has a Bachelor of Science with Highest Honors from South Dakota State University in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences.

Stacy spent 25 years working for the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS) and is an expert in land protection, partnerships, and prairie and wetland management, restoration and protection. Easement acquisition, policy and regulation development, and partnership development and support at the Federal level were significant accomplishments during Stacy’s NWRS career. She managed the Minnesota Wetland Acquisition Office for four years before developing a large-scale partnership project to restore and enhance wetlands within the NWRS estate. Stacy joined The Conservation Fund in June 2025, after retiring from Federal service.

Stacy is an avid skier, biker, forager, hunter/fisher, cook and world traveler who enjoys the outdoors with her husband Mike and dogs. Community success and connection to nature drive Stacy’s commitments outside of work. She is a ski and bike patroller at a local ski resort and volunteers for many local and regional organizations.
