Established by the National Park Service to protect the scenic and biological integrity of the Little River, the Little River Canyon National Preserve is a national treasure in the heart of Alabama. We’re helping the National Park Service acquire key parcels along Little River Canyon’s east rim — more than 80 acres so far, with the latest project in 2012. Saving these lands from development enhances the visitor experience by protecting the viewshed for the canyon’s scenic highway and expands public outdoor recreation opportunities for hunting and other activities. This is an ongoing project and we are currently working to identify key properties within the viewshed available for conservation.
