This substantial assemblage of properties will become an anchor park for the community—featuring acres of gently rolling hills for walking trails, bike paths, playgrounds and environmental education programming. Antioch Park will be a welcomed addition to the area. The closest greenspace of this size is at least ten miles away and will add many opportunities for outdoor recreation for Nashville citizens.

Why This Project Matters

This project builds on our past conservation successes from Nashville’s first Open Space Plan, including Stones River Farm which was announced in 2011. During Mayor Karl Dean’s administration, he created a vision for Nashville to become the “greenest city in the south.” For generations to come, many will be able to experience the outdoors with the preservation of these lands.
