Gateway community leaders from across the country, local, state, federal public land managers, and professionals in conservation, community and economic development, recreation and tourism, planning, infrastructure, philanthropy, and other fields associated with the success of gateway communities.

Registration - NOW OPEN!

Registration is limited to 200 people so we recommend you register early! Early-bird registration ($300) is open until October 15th after which time the fee will increase to $425. The final registration deadline is November 15th. Registration does not include lodging and meals; see below for further details.


Travel & Lodging 

The Summit will take place at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV. NCTC is located 1.5 hours from Washington Area airports. Lodging packages are available onsite at NCTC for $154/night for single occupancy ($61 extra for a second occupant) which includes a private room and full meal plan starting with dinner on your check-in day and ending with lunch on your check-out day. A block of rooms is reserved for Summit attendees. Share Fair

A Share Fair and Networking Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, December 12th from 7:30-9:00 pm. This is an opportunity for organizations to display resources and information and network with the community. Requests must be received by November 15th. Limited scholarship assistance is available to representatives of non-profit organizations and local governments. Requests must be received by October 15th. Waivers of the registration fee and/or the cost of lodging & meals at NCTC are available by request on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, travel assistance is available for those within ARC's designated region. For more information and to make a request, please click here.
