Madison ThomsonMadison’s primary responsibilities include timber harvest plan preparation and review, watercourse classification, timber marking, road assessments, wildlife assessments (focusing on the Northern Spotted Owl) and botanical assessments for The Conservation Fund’s North Coast forests in California.

He is also responsible for conducting forest inventories, including training and quality control of contractors, as well as the supervision of crews for tree planting and firefighting. 

Fluent in Spanish, Madison graduated with honors in 2008 from Cal-Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in forestry. As a student, Madison conducted research on forest roads in Mendocino County.
