Faith and Food Coordinator, Resourceful Communities

jaimieprofileAs Faith and Food Coordinator, Jaimie helps rural North Carolina churches utilize their resources—land, kitchens, volunteers—to engage in their local food economies and address root causes of hunger. Having worked with an innovative rural church in Appalachia, Jaimie understands the challenges of rural community engagement and deeply believes churches can use their assets in innovative ways to support meaningful social change. Jaimie brings a deep understanding and commitment to this work, as well as an abiding faith In community can-do. You will frequently hear her say, “How might we…”, rather than “We can’t possibly…”. 

Jaimie received her B.S. in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University and has previously served two AmeriCorps terms in Boone, NC. Raised around Wilmington, NC with a love for the outdoors, she enjoys a good walk in the woods and cultivating her young son’s sense of wonder and beauty.
