Alaska Representative, Conservation Acquisition

Glenn ElisonGlenn focuses on developing support for The Conservation Fund’s many projects in Alaska, with special focus on the wild salmon-rich Southwest Alaska region.

Glenn has spent 42 years in Alaska, and prior to joining The Conservation Fund in 2001, he worked statewide with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. With the USFWS, he served as refuge manager for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and as statewide manager for the service’s wildlife and land management programs.

Glenn was the lead USFWS negotiator with the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council’s habitat protection program. Ultimately, 300,000 acres of key salmon, brown bear and other fish and wildlife habitat were added to the Kodiak, Kenai, Alaska Maritime and Alaska Peninsula National Wildlife Refuges during that period.

Glenn earned a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University and an M.S. from Washington State University.
