Carmera Thomas
Director, Urban Conservation Initiatives

For about five years, Carmera was the Baltimore Program Manager at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, a regional non-profit whose mission is to “Save the Bay,” focusing on oyster restoration in the Inner Harbor, engaging communities through advocacy and equitable environmental policy and reducing pollution in local waterways in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Carmera serves on many boards and committees dedicated to inclusivity in the outdoors and engaging in local community efforts to build capacity around healthy, thriving and sustainable communities.
Carmera grew up and currently lives in Maryland with her husband. She enjoys camping and spending time with her family and friends, especially in nature.
