As president and chief executive officer of the Fund since 2001, Larry Selzer leads an executive team that charts the organization’s strategy and equips the staff to succeed. Under Larry’s leadership, the Fund has brought an entrepreneurial spirit to conservation, launching efforts to seed small green business, manage working forests and better integrate economic and environmental goals. Prior to joining the Fund, Larry started his professional career at the Manomet Center for Conservation Science, conducting research on marine mammal and seabird populations. Today, he serves on the boards of the American Bird Conservancy, The Outdoor Foundation, and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
