Aquaculture Innovation Workshops (AIW) provide an opportunity for aquaculture producers, scientists, engineers, aquaculture industry suppliers, regulators and investors to communicate progress on the technical, biological and economic feasibility of culturing fish – particularly salmon – to market size in land-based closed-containment systems using recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology. These “International Summits on Fish Farming in Land-Based Closed-Containment Systems” have been hosted by The Conservation Fund Freshwater Institute, Tides Canada, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Atlantic Salmon Federation.

Chris Good, D.V.M, Ph.D., Director of Aquatic Veterinary Research at the Freshwater Institute, will present the Water Quality Workshop along with Dr. Claude Boyd of Auburn University. The workshop is being held in conjunction with the annual Aquaculture America 2017 conference: "Forging New Frontiers," which runs February 19-22, 2017.
