This study provides the first nationwide look at projects that combine land conservation and affordable housing. Learn about projects that meet a host of community deficiencies by helping provide much needed housing for young families, police officers and teachers, while conserving waterways and wetlands, wildlife habitat, farmland and forests and recreational areas. Fifteen profiles showcase projects initiated by developers, land trusts, local governments and housing organizations. The study also includes promising trends, lessons learned and the next steps to stimulate even more projects with great outcomes for the community, environment and the economy.
