Some 1,700 land trusts across America do a remarkable job of saving the places that matter most. But when property comes up for sale, land trusts sometimes need to act fast—or invest big. That’s where we come in. Each year, we lend a portion of our own conservation capital to land trusts to use as bridge financing, enabling them to acquire land even before permanent funding is secured. We also provide technical assistance to help borrowers navigate conservation projects and planning.
