Shannon Lee

Senior Major Gifts Officer, Southeast Region

Headshot of Shannon Lee.

Shannon Lee has been with The Conservation Fund since June 2010 and is currently the Senior Major Gifts Officer based in our Georgia Office. In this role, she connects our passionate donors to a variety of conservation opportunities in the region—from community-driven parks in dense urban neighborhoods, to working farms and forest that support our local economies, to expansive landscapes and wildlife habitats.

Before joining our fundraising team, Shannon supported the development and expansion of our Parks with Purpose initiative into five cities. This program creates new and improved greenspaces and restores urban landscapes, while also delivering equitable outcomes and economic opportunities for some of most vulnerable urban communities. She also serves on the US Water Alliance’s Water Equity Taskforce, the City of Atlanta’s Green Infrastructure Taskforce, and Emory University’s HERCULES Stakeholders Advisory Board.

Prior to her work with the Fund, she owned a successful retail business. Her passion for the environment drove her to change careers and commit herself to conservation. She holds a B.A. in Geography, with a focus on Geographical Information Science and Environmental Conservation from Georgia State University. She is also a graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership.
