Director of Southern California Programs, Conservation Acquisition
Scott manages the Fund's land acquisition and conservation programs for Southern California. He is a third generation Californian and knows the state's geography and politics well. His background and years of experience in conservation planning, local government, public policy, and real estate acquisition allows him to work with a wide array of public and private land conservation partners and landowners in an area known for the complexity of its land use and conservation issues. He previously worked for over 15 years with The Nature Conservancy and the Trust For Public Lands in land negotiations and acquisition. Prior to that time he worked in local government and had his own environmental consulting business.
Scott has a Bachelors Degree in Planning and Public Policy from the University of California Irvine, and a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona.
