Sarah Howard

Conservation Associate


Sarah assists in the coordination and transactional execution of real estate acquisition projects in the Lower Mississippi and Central Gulf Region. She also manages The Conservation Fund’s Mississippi mitigation banking program.

Prior to joining The Fund, Sarah worked as a project manager for a Texas-based real estate development firm. In this role, her work focused on the design and development of sustainable, economically responsible and aesthetically enriching built environments. Sarah also worked for the New Orleans Recovery School District’s Capital Development Team, managing the planning and rebuilding of New Orleans’ public school infrastructure post Hurricane Katrina. Sarah has long been interested in the intersection of sustainability and real estate, integrating conservation practices with traditional business development and real estate models to deliver projects with lasting environmental value.

Sarah received her Masters of Science in Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane University in 2013. She holds a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Texas Tech University. When not working, Sarah enjoys kayaking, fishing and floral design.
