Ray Herndon Jr.

Director, Central Gulf & Lower Mississippi River Region


Ray HerndonRay is involved in all aspects of conservation projects including partnership identification, outreach and support; identifying and securing project funding; and completion of land and water conservation transactions. Previously, he worked with the Land Trust Alliance and also spent several years in the commercial banking sector.  

In addition to being NAWCA Council Staff, Ray serves on the Management Board of the Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture and is Board Member for the Weeks Bay Foundation and The Coastal Land Trust. 

Ray holds an M.S. from the Edward St. John Real Estate Institute at Johns Hopkins University and an M.A. and B.A. from Washington College.
