President and CEO, Natural Capital Investment Fund
Marten leads the Natural Capital Investment Fund, a subsidiary of The Conservation Fund. In addition to his for the NCIF, Marten serves on the Board of Appalachian Community Capital and CEI Capital Management, LLC, and on West Virginia Manufacturing Extension Partnership’s Advisory Board. Previously, he was as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines and as a research assistant for the World Bank in the Environmental Policy and Research Division.
Marten holds an M.S. in Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Colby College.
