Every community is unique, and Resourceful Communities’ efforts reflect this. We meet communities where they are.
Resourceful Communities helps partners access resources and learn techniques to advance nontraditional, asset-based approaches to age-old problems such as environmental degradation, poverty and racism.
Resourceful Communities builds relationships and follows the lead and wisdom of local leaders in crafting strategies to build on assets, address deficits and strengthen communities. Through our peer learning network, partner organizations mentor and model for one another to foster sustainable collaborations that net meaningful results. Partners provide ongoing input into programs.
Building Skills And Engaging Communities
Resourceful Communities helps partners access resources and learn techniques to advance nontraditional, asset-based approaches to age-old problems such as environmental degradation, poverty and racisim. We provide direct technical assistance and help local leaders build capacity to implement “triple bottom line” efforts that promote sustainable economic development, social justice and environmental stewardship for the long term.
Growing Access And Understanding
Resourceful Communities works to generate improved understanding as well as state policy and funding changes that support place-based projects. Recognizing that we have different power and privileges than our partners, we hold the door open to authentic relationships and social change by facilitating access to power and resources and challenging our peers to share power equitably.
