Here are a few of our portfolio companies:

 

FLS Energy specializes in the design and installation of solar photovoltaic and thermal systems for buildings large and small. In 2008, with 12 employees and revenues of less than $1 million, FLS turned to NCIF for working capital to fund its growing book of orders. In four short years, the company has grown 4,303% and employs 79 in Asheville, NC.

Stacy Family Farm was initially purchased by Albert and Lina Frost Stacy in 1899 for $2,400. Generations later, the farm is now operated by Bill Stacy (better known as Farmer Stacy) and is using sustainable farming practices to grow the most delicious strawberries and white sweet corn in the Marietta, OH region.

Farmer Curtis Wood, North Carolina  

Curtis Branch grows wheat, soybeans and corn on his Murfreesboro, North Carolina farm, a 240-acre property that has been in his family for generations. With funding from the North Carolina Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund, NCIF paired a small loan with a cost share grant and training to help Curtis acquire and successfully use an on-farm grain storage bin.
