Karen Schroyer, M.S., M.B.A is the Environmental Laboratory Manager for the Freshwater Institute, a program of the Conservation Fund, Arlington, VA.
After completing undergradute studies at Shepherd College, Karen was awarded her Masters of Environmental Science from Hood College. Karen also holds an M.B.A with a concentration in Techncial and Professional Communication in 1989 from Frostburg State University. Karen came to the Institute in 2008 after a two decade career as managing technical services for laboratories in the biotechnology sector. Karen specializes in the development and implementation of Good Laboratory Practices, Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs, and process/product validation. Karen leads Institute teams in safety, regulatory compliance reporting and certification, and techncial services budgeting.
