Brian J. Vinci, Ph.D., P.E., is the Director of Engineering Services for the Freshwater Institute, a field office and program of The Conservation Fund, Arlington, VA.
Dr. Vinci earned his Bachelors and Masters degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Cornell University and earned his Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell. Dr. Vinci was a USDA National Needs Fellow at Cornell where his dissertation research focused on the remediation of acidic mine drainage. Dr. Vinci leads engineering projects in the areas of fisheries bioengineering, environmental engineering, and facility/infrastructure planning. Dr. Vinci is an active member of the Aquacultural Engineering Society, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Association of Conservation Engineers. Dr. Vinci is a licensed professional engineer (environmental) in New York and Pennsylvania.
