Philadelphia Eagles Go Green
Trees planted in the Eagles Forest will offset carbon emissions.
Eagles ForestThis month, the Philadelphia Eagles unveiled plans to create the Eagles Forest at Neshaminy State Park in Bensalem, PA. The team will plant trees to offset carbon emissions from away-game air travel as part of The Conservation Fund’s Go Zero program, which compliments the team’s GO GREEN campaign. Fans are invited to join the team by planting trees in the forest as well. Read More>
Michigan Refuge to Expand
Partner creates fund for land and trees.
Silver mapleDetroit Edison worked with The Conservation Fund to establish the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge Land Acquisition Fund, expanding the 9,427-acre Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, located near Saginaw, Michigan. The fund will also help restore forests within the refuge’s boundaries. More than 53,000 native tree seedlings already have been planted with Detroit Edison's support, with long-term goals to clean the air, restore significant wildlife habitat and offer Michigan’s residents and visitors more places to enjoy the great outdoors. Red Knot's Future at Stake
Partnership raises funds for endangered bird habitat.
Red knot A colorful shorebird, the red knot migrates from Argentina to the Arctic Circle, stopping just once along the way -- on the Delaware Bay. To preserve this key pit stop, The Conservation Fund and the Delaware Ornithological Society, are protecting lands that buffer the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge.
