Barr Lake State Park, CO

Located in one of the fastest growing counties along the Front Range, Barr Lake entices both wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts. Its shores serve as a nesting area for waterfowl and neotropical songbirds. For seven years, the Fund has partnered with Colorado State Parks, Adams County and Great Outdoors Colorado to implement "A Conservation Vision for Barr Lake State Park," a strategic plan to protect the area's natural resources. In 2003 the Fund and its partners acquired one of the plan's highest priorities: 153 acres at the main entrance of the park.
