Potrero Canyon, CA

As part of Riverside County's Blueprint for Tomorrow land-use plan, the Fund, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Riverside County, the state and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service joined together to set aside more than 9,000 acres of critical wildlife habitat in Potrero Canyon. After years of complex negotiations, these lands will provide a haven for diverse species including the endangered kangaroo rat and mountain lion.
