Nanticoke River Watershed, MD

As a lead partner in Maryland’s Rural Legacy Program, the Fund is preserving sensitive shoreline, wildlife habitat and an agricultural way of life along the Nanticoke River and the state’s fragile coastal bays. Thus far the successful partnership has resulted in the protection of more than 8,500 acres of working farms and forests.
