Green Mountain National Forest, VT

      

With support from Dorset Citizens for Responsible Growth and local community members, The Conservation Fund secured 16 acres of forestland along the Green Mountain Corridor, which links the Green Mountain National Forest with Emerald Lake State Park. One of only two national forests in the Northeast, Green Mountain encompasses an impressive 375,000 acres of forested wilderness critical to the black bear.
