Protecting landscape-level forestland and habitat is integral to conserving a rich mosaic of public lands spanning the New Hampshire/Maine border. In 2013, we helped protect 9,000 acres of working forest, including the 286-acre Success Pond, watershed and myriad wetlands. In addition to being an economic engine for local communities, these forests also provide critical habitat for rare, threatened and endangered species, including the federally threatened Canada lynx.
