Kelly Ingebritson

Colorado and Western Project Manager

Kelly joined the Fund in 2008 and facilitates conservation projects across Colorado. Kelly has over a decade of experience with conservation real estate transactions, coalition and partner building, legislative drafting, the federal budget and appropriations process, and dozens of conservation funding sources at the local, state, and federal levels. Kelly has worked on projects to expand and protect national parks, national forests, wilderness, national conservation areas, and other federally designated areas; increase public recreational access; and preserve critical watersheds, strategic open space, wildlife corridors, working farm and ranch lands and nationally significant historic lands.

Kelly has been with the Fund’s Colorado office since 2018. Prior to and during that time (2008-2020), she served on the Fund’s government relations team in Washington, D.C. where she was on point for western states Congressional relations (including Colorado), and managed agency relationships with the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Kelly led the Fund’s efforts on several Farm Bills (Conservation and Forestry Titles) and assisted with successful campaigns to permanently reauthorize Land and Water Conservation Fund (with full funding) and the Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act.

Kelly holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, passed the Colorado Bar, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Miami University of Ohio. Kelly grew up in Kansas City and worked in Denver after college, including as a middle school Language Arts teacher. She enjoys exploring spectacular Colorado by hiking, skiing, boating and climbing with her husband and daughter.
