Climate: Go Zero®

www.conservationfund.org/gozero

Climate shifts can seem subtle—but the stakes are high. The good news is that conservation is part of the solution. Through its Go Zero® program, the Fund encourages individuals, leading companies and communities to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions and helps them offset what’s left by planting trees. Reforestation is a simple step that has a positive impact on our climate, water and wildlife. Support from the Fund’s climate change programs has raised critical capital for conservation, generating real results: the restoration of 20,000 acres with 6 million trees.

In one example of Go Zero®’s success, U–Haul customers at more than 15,000 company locations are making a difference by donating money to offset the carbon dioxide emissions that result from their moves. “For more than 60 years, U-Haul has incorporated sustainable practices into its everyday operations,” says John Taylor, company president. “Today, our customers are helping us lead the way and enhance those practices by giving the next generation the ‘gift of zero’—a healthier planet.”
